Hi Desiree
Sometimes it's feast or famine when you post for review. I've been swamped at the day job. I'll try to come back and check out your song tomorrow.

Best
:) Casey

Off Topic:
Is "Desiree" your real first name? It's quite poetic. If it is, my compliments to your parents. If not, my compliments to you.

rants, pitchy, bitchy, or I suppose you could call it passionate it sounds better. I was starting to think we had a new diva on the forums, lol!
Ott I would have considered that a compliment corrupting the morals of young ladies! They would have just called me a dirty old man.
Desiree, it's kinda funny, but the first time you post something on the internet you are nervous because you think millions of people might see or hear what you post, then after awhile you realize that only a handful or less actually do. My grandma still has to look perfect and not flashy when she goes out because she don't want people to look at her, at home also in case someone drops by. I suppose in the old days if you had a hair out of place you were the talk of the town, now she could probably walk naked down main street and a few might even notice, but she still hasn't learned that.

Desiree

Just went and tried to listen to "Lets make some butterflys", again. The link trys to take me to MySpace which loads slowly and takes me away from the forum. I never did get the website to load after 15 seconds of waiting. As I use my time to cruise down the list of P2Ps, something that won't load quickly really bothers me. Better to post/up-load the thing on your Taxi site and then give us a link to that. I really don't have a problem listening and commenting but it shouldn't be a hassle to do it. A slow page is really annoying.

Don't wanna hurt yer feelings or anything. But your thread probably has serveral "views" from me. A suggestion. If you up-load to your TAXI site, when you finish up-loading, if you put your cursor over your "play" button and look in the very bottom left side of your browser, you will see a link that has a 5 or 6 digit number in it. Write that number down, TAXI gives each track a numerical designation.

Then, you can copy this text into a note pad or something for future use. Just paste it into your thread:

http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=XXXXXX

Change the XXXXXX for the number you wrote down and you have a direct link to your track! MUCH faster than MySpace!

Good Luck!
Keith

I think that this is a very good ratio of respondents. I'd actually be very pleased with this. :)

Stuart

Edit: I just checked on the last track I put in Peer to Peer. It had 103 views and received 9 responses (one was mine...LOL).

January and February are tough months in P2P, possibly because newer folks post more than they comment, and we get a lot of new folks around the turn of the year. At least Ott was kind enough to review your name, heh. :D

Ott: Yes, Desiree (pronounced Dez-er-ray) is my real name. Its French, even though I am not a bit French, (1/2 Cuban actually), my parents just liked the name. Anytime I ever see Desiree on tv/film it is always Desiree the stripper or hooker!! Its that whole "desire" being the root of the name thing I suppose!

Len- I've *never* in my life been described as "bitchy" or a "diva!" So weird!! :o Maybe not everyone is viewing this post, but I still don't want to come across as something I'm not to the few that are still reading it! So sorry if I have!!

Keith- thanks for the heads up on the website. I will definitely do that next time! I had no idea that myspace took so long to load, it seems to load pretty quickly on mine, but we have a fast internet because we are hooked up to the university's system. Good to know!

Thanks to everyone else too! I will no longer take this personally!! :)

Good job on really looking at the meaning you are giving these lurkers. I would add one more. And Ott alludes to it:
ottlukk wrote:well, let's just say there are a couple of posts I wish i could take back.
We all know that getting feedback is confronting and can be difficult - and by the way congratulations on seeking it out! - but what you may not realize is that giving feedback can be equally confronting and downright scary. Especially in the online world. Because very often in the online world people feel much freer to strike back when they're feelings are hurt.

So, giving feedback can be hard. And I think the forum is an amazing place because your fellow musicians are so incredibly courageous and generous with their feedback and their time!

Aw Dave sorry to ruin your big speech by admitting I was being a little silly about the whole thing :)
