ME? Write a Pop/Hip Hop Song!?

Wow! I never thought this would happen, given my background in rock, pop/rock, and orchestral music.

BUT, I just received a CD from a friend in N. Minnesota a couple weeks ago by a band which has relocated to Minneapolis/St. Paul because of their fan base. They are a mild pop/hip hop group with a lady singer and two other male rappers, one black and one white. And the band is REALLY GOOD, actually recording at the drummer's house. It sounds GREAT!

Anyway, this recording stuck in my memory banks. Of course, I've heard LOTSA Rap since "Straight Outta Compton" living here in L.A., but this Minnesota group is so "mellow" in comparison it must have influenced me!

Sooo --- Anyone know a GREAT young female pop/rapper in L.A.? It may be a collaboration, because I've got a killer chorus/hook, but beyond that I'm writing the "rap" part and it's pretty pathetic for this old white Finnish/German guy! LOL!

Any ideas about vocalists etc. would be appreciated!
