New & Nervous

But letting it all hang out. Have several instrumentals and a rocking collaboration with metal boy, my Berklee-bound son. Check out The Righteous and see what you think? Thanks for any/all feedback. You rock!

Wow. Great stuff. Who is that singing? Excellent modern rock voice. I have many tracks looking for lyrics and a singer, if you are interested in collaborating. PM me if you are interested.

IT'S a CCM TUNE!!! Cool... Vox sounds a bit like Kutless, in fact the whole tune has that overtone. Great overall feel, I'm finding the bass a bit muddy around 60-80hz. I'm thinking this hasn't been mastered yet? Good performances all round, way to go... except that noise at the very end...

Cheers...

The song reminded me of a Christian Hard Rock band called "White Cross," maybe you've heard of them? (That is a huge complement.)

I generally liked the overall sound of the song. I like the chorus but I can't be too sure about the lyrics cause you didn't include it in your post. I thought the song could have been a little more shorter in length. Maybe you could cut out one of the lead breaks, especially the one after the bridge cause it kind of ruins the whole build up to the final chorus(well, it did for me at least :) ). BTW, there was a brief moment in the lead break (after the bridge) that reminded me of "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns & Roses. It sounded exactly like Slash so if you're not gonna get rid of that lead break you might wanna fix that part a little.

With all that said, I wanna welcome you to the forums and Taxi(though Im also new here  ). And whenever you need honest feedback on your songs, "Peer to Peer" is the place to post. :D

No man, you rock!!! 8-) :)

I am so encouraged by your kind words! Here forthwith are the lyrics--quotes by such as Solomon, David, Paul, & Moses among others. Please pardon the delay.

Vocals & guitars on The Righteous are both Steve Baker, son and heir : ) produced in a spirited bid for a spot studying guitar at a music school--hence the extra solo time. I appreciate the tips to tighten it as I hope to prepare it for the "radio-playable contemporary christian" category. Any other suggestions?

Does "Ticking" have a genre?

thank you thank you thank you.

The Righteous

The righteous will never be removed.
The desire of the righteous will be granted.
The righteous is delivered from trouble
Trouble comes to the wicked instead
Do you know what the scripture says?
Abraham believed God
And it counted as righteousness

Chorus
We put our trust under the shadow of Your wings
We rest our faith in the evidence of things not seen
We believe in the substance of hoped-for things
And we know what the scripture says
We believe God
We are the righteous!

The name of the Lord is a strong and mighty tower
The righteous run to Him and are safe
The light of the righteous shines bright here
The righteous will live by faith
And we know what the scripture says
Abraham believed God and it counted as righteousness

Bridge:
Fear not for I am with you
I have called you by your name
You are mine, You are mine
Through the waters
Through the rivers
Through the fire
I will be with you
Though ten thousand may fall
By your side

"We rest our faith in the evidence of things not seen, We believe in the substance of hoped-for things"

I know what you're trying to say, but "the evidence of things not seen and the substance for things hoped for" IS the definition of faith itself. So if I simplify what you're saying here it would sound like this: "We rest our faith in faith." Which does not really make much sense. Maybe you might wanna get a little creative there. But other than that, the song sounds good. :D

All the best with your song, Ken. :)

God bless.
