Cypress?...no Cyprus!

Dear friends and fellow musicians,
after about a year and two months of being a TAXI member I was sent today the contract
to sign my FIRST deal with a great US music publisher!!
I'm super happy and excited. After a mountain of forwards and a lot of patience an email
landed on my inbox saying...we want YOUR music!
Friends, I come from Cyprus (Cypress?...no Cyprus!) a tiny island that most people confuse
with a location in California but actually lies somewhere in Europe. Never in my wildest dreams
could I picture somebody in the US listening to my music and digging it. I owe it all to Taxi
and if all the nay-sayers and taxi bashers out there could read this post it would shut them up
once and for all: anyone, anywhere in the world can have a shot through TAXI. If you got the goods
then TAXI can make it happen.
I know that it's only my first deal and I'm probably making too much of it, but from where I come from... it's
a major breakthrough!

Right on Adonis! I knew it was only a matter of time.

The first deal is HUGE so celebrate and bask in it, and then get right back in the studio!!!

A couple of things I've noticed about deals: 1. They are huge confidence builders. 2. They give you an opening with that company to submit fairly freely and you get the inside scoop on what they need.

Another thing is they help build your network and once you get a placement, it makes you more valuable to other clients as well.

It's all "upside"!!!

Congratulations for being patient and talented! It's stories like yours that counterbalance the bashers out there. Like I keep saying, TAXI is the constant -- it's the music, the people submitting it, and their ability to pitch at the right things that are the variables. Folks like you and the bashers are all using exactly the same company, the same screeners, and the same process, so thank you for pointing out that TAXI DOES work, and it works no matter where you live.

I'm sure this is the first of many deals for you. You are now on the path
