Back in the TAXI

Post by Penz2nz » Sat Apr 24, 2010 9:42 am

Greetings to all who share this passion.

My name is Wayne R Brown and I am a former TAXI member returning from a wreck that forced me to not renew my membership a few years ago. I am still trying to get a handle on little things like: How do I properly post my music link so others can listen to my tunes. Although I am 63 I have no fear of computers (love this technology stuff) and really enjoy these boards.

Looking forward to meeting, and maybe even writing with some of you riders.

Now let's try a little link copy and paste and see if I get it right :?: http://www.taximusic.com/hosting/home.php?userid=me

Oops... no dice there. ;)

The linking thing with the Taxi Music site is, well... a bit odd to say the least. The easiest way is to use your forum name like this...

http://www.taxi.com/penz2nz

It'll then automatically resolve to your Taxi Music page. Anyway... welcome back! 8-)

Actually, not your forum name... you taxi music page login name. Sometimes they are different...

Your music page would be http://www.taxi.com/[taxi music page login name] ...

Linking to specific songs doesn't always work right for everyone. I find it best to give the above addy to your page and the name of the song.

Another good way to post songs for review is get a free page on Reverb Nation. You can create tunepaks which link to one or more specific songs.

In either case, it's generally best to post the lyrics directly here when asking for review. Other methods have their issues.

Welcome back!

Whoops

Thanks Gents, I have a ReverNation page as well as MySpace, and SoundClick. I will try and remember to post lyrics here when I seek input on any of my tunes.

I must say it is good to be back

Hi,

Welcome back, If you let us know what your favorite song is of the whole lot I'll have a listen. The link Dave Walton created links to your page just fine. Looks like you had a crazy life, welcome to the club. I think it comes with the job title songwriter. See you around

glender,

Trying to pick a favorite can be tough. If you like a good Tom T Hall or Eagles style story song I'd pick "Can't Let Her Go" If you like tongue in cheek Rock-a-billy listen to "Get A Real Job" if you want some good old school R & B with a message then it has to be "The Heart of A Man (when it comes to love)"

Now look what you've gone and done. I feel like I just took some of my kids out behind the barn and shot'em
