The song really works well, good instrumentation, evocative, emotional vocal, interesting lyrics....the intro and outro suck. The organ drone sounds out of tune and makes my ears quiver, especially against a very well recorded acoustic guitar. Of course that is just my opinion.

(you should hear my partner and I dis our own songs!)

How do you really feel, Hook? kidding, thanks for the honesty, I love it! Yeah, the mellotron sample is not for everyone and there have been enough comments about it that maybe I'll go back and re-think that part. Next time don't beat around the bush though, heh (as Mojo would say). Thanks! eo.

Really nice song and great performances. I like mellotron in general (especially the flute sounds), but I do think it's out of place here -- maybe a more straight-ahead B3 sound would work.

I'd like to hear this with more compression and almost no reverb (at least no audible tails) on the vocals -- I'm thinking specifically of an Elliott Smith kind of sound. Apart from being a more modern vocal mix approach, I think it could increase the feeling of intimacy, which would suit this lyric especially.

I could picture this tune prominently featured in an indie film!

Thanks Wicked, I'm gonna work some more on this one, I like your suggestions, I'm a huge Elliott Smith fan so maybe I'll take it in that direction. eo.
