"12:01" - short I scored this weekend (3 min. long)

Post by crystallions » Sun Apr 25, 2010 1:39 am

I scored a film for a 36-hour film competition this weekend. The film is produced by Daros Films. I scored their short last year as well and then we won with "Leave Me". I am not sure when we will find out how it went this year - but hopefully soon. It is hard to wait... :)

Here it is...

Thank you Casey! That means a lot!

Once again I did not see the film until it was completely finished and uploaded on the internet. This year we did more specific things with the music though. I did have a spotting session when the script was finished and we talked through how many seconds of which kind of music were needed where. I wrote the music and ended up doing several versions of the theme for the different spots in the film so that they could choose what they thought fit best. Last year I only sent one piece and they cut it up. This year we put a lot more work on making it specific to the film, which was fun.

They are making a 6 minute version in the next few weeks which I will go ahead and score using the theme from the short one. That will be fun. :)

Good Job, the piano was very nice and I thought the plot was interesting as well.
