Still pending?
I have three songs I am still waiting for a yes or no on after a month and a half. There is already a new listing of the old listing, so I can probably assume it is a no and delete the songs. I wonder if we get credit if no one wants to listen to our submissions? That's pretty bad that I can't even pay anyone to listen, lol! I was curious if anyone was still here that this might have happened to, hopefully it was just a glitch, and not a message. For what it's worth, I am slow at catching on to some things, it has to be spelled out.

Re: Still pending?
I had the same thing, but after the same amount of time, they finally got to them (all returns, unfortunately
)
When were the deadlines? If you submitted them way before the deadlines, it may seem longer than it actually is. Patience is the motto, or a call to TAXI might speed things up a bit.

Re: Still pending?
It usually takes between 10 to 30 days from the listing's deadline date before you find out if a song was forwarded or returned.jlizerbram wrote:If you submitted them way before the deadlines, it may seem longer than it actually is.

They listen to everything, they have to. If you delete the songs, you're shooting yourself in the foot. If they get a lot of submissions, then it can take a bit longer to listen to everything.
In my experience, it's better for my sanity if I don't monitor every submission but rather focus on writing and building my catalog and working on other submissions. Your mileage may vary, but it also helps me not take whatever is happening, or not, personally. There's so many factors in this business that are out of our control, and our songs are drops in the ocean of music that is being submitted and considered. But one thing I know for sure is that the TAXI screeners are required to listen to every song that is submitted for a listing, it's what you paid for. If it takes them a bit longer than usual, it's out of your control.
Hang in there!

Re: Still pending?
One other thing... If you have a song that is still listed as pending, you won't be able to delete it from the system. You'll get an error message telling you that the song is still awaiting review.

Once I started doing the things Mazz mentioned above, I found that my mileage increasedmazz wrote:In my experience, it's better for my sanity if I don't monitor every submission but rather focus on writing and building my catalog and working on other submissions. Re: Still pending?
I saw they were submitted Mar 30th. If I remember correctly around the first of April was the deadline. I was just curious because they had a revised or new listing, one of those listings that say we ran this as.... before type deal. No biggy, It wasn't like I was excited and waiting for a forward or anything, lol! They were cover tunes so I was a little more concerned that I might have an attorney calling me before they were returned, hehe, I know I need to remove them quickly though after I hear something back.
I don't have any sanity left to lose, lol, certainly not over this, I don't take many things personally anymore, but it is nice occasionally to use that as an excuse to raise hell and release any lingering frustrations.

Re: Still pending?
I'm not gonna do covers anymore, instead of cracking on the lyrics or the chorus, or the structure, all that is left is my vocals or recording quality, rofl!! You can pick on anything, but PLEASE, not my vocals!!

Re: Still pending?
Sorry to hear they're returned. Learn what you can from it, and move on. Make the changes if you can, if it was critiqued, and try to keep those things in mind for the next song to. Best of luck next time.
