My first submission, forwarded!

Post by standardtunes » Sun May 23, 2010 2:46 pm

I'm gobsmacked. My first TAXI submission, a song I wrote but do not perform, has been forwarded to a label looking for jazz tunes. They're mainly looking for artists with CDs-ready-to-go, but said they'd consider songs. Apparently, the listing had previously been a Dispatch. I wonder if that suggests someone is actively looking for songs, but who knows. I'm walkin on air just getting the forward. -- John

The song is "Round About Morning"

WOW John!...THANKS for sharing! I really REALLY LOVE IT!....mmmmm my kinda song, love that style!...got me dreaming back to when I sang with a swing band in smoky cafe's at night. You sure deserve the forward and lots of placements! Best of luck!

While I do love everything about it, I think I would love it even more with a real piano on, in stead of the synth sound, though that has it charms too.....but that's just me. You already got the forward and deserve it!
Ulla :-)

Hi fret17,
I just stumbled across it, but I think it's just a matter of

1) typing in the bottom field on the artist info page, as in
My TAXI link: www.taxi.com/
and you'd just put fret17 or whatever you want in that field.

2) make sure among the Options at the lower left of any forum posting page (it's probably there now; if not you'll see it when you REPLY) -- that [url] is ON

Finally, I've been typing my link manually into forum postings, but there's obviously a way to incorporate links into one's signature.

Hope this helps. (Hope it's accurate, too.)
