Stranglers "Peaches" submission on target?

Post by shazza007 » Mon Jun 14, 2010 6:42 am

Hey All,
Okay, we went for this and worked on it for 2 solid days. Please let me know if you think we're on target!
Any and all comments welcome.

It is on our page and it's called: I'm Easy.

Thank you so much! (we're still new and finding our way in the Taxi method of doing things.)

Cheerz.

Hey Share,

I love it. Lotsa fun .. glad the floors are clean.

I don't have the best ear for mix and sound quality, but to me it sounds GREAT!

Haven't heard Peaches in a while, but from what I remember you've caught the vibe and 'ad-lib' vocal style really well.

Great work. Look forward to hearing more from you.

Thanks so much Dean. Appreciate your warm response. And glad you got the humor of the lyrics too. (whew!)

We had quite a bit of fun working on this track. We'll see what happens. Gotta learn to submit and forget.

Cheerz.

Really good. Sadly, much better than my attempt. :(
This should definitely get forwarded. I thought mine was good, but you guys just put it to shame. Cheers!

Hey Jeff,
Thanks. However I still thought yours was very good. Ultimately, the whole concept of the track being used in a scene in a film makes it a big gamble as to what they want! IMHO.
Good luck and I hope you will post on the forums with your results!!!

Much thanks for listening.

That is all Bam on all the vox. (yes, he can sing that high!?)

Hope you're right.

Absolutely love it guys. Well done! I love your other stuff too. Lots of great ideas and lots of character and attitude jumping all over the place, with great production to support it.

Sounds like a definite forward to me (but what do I know, like you, I only just joined recently).

I look forward to hearing what you do next!

Well, sad to say, this one bounced back as being 'too much like ' Peaches! Wow!

As someone who attended Berklee College of Music and has written quite a bit for TV and film, I completely disagree with the screener.

Any comments?
