any New Yorker's that can help??

Post by greenetunes » Wed Jun 16, 2010 5:33 pm

It's been awhile!!!! :)

hello my fellow TAXI members (well I'm not a member anymore... my membership passed - but I'll be re-upping soon). Just thought I'd jot a few quick notes and tell all the wonderful people in Taxiland... HI!!! I hope everyone is doing great - I check up on those you who added me as a friend via reverbnation often (even if I don't say anything). Very bummed I missed the '09 Rally because made some great connections/friendships that just can't be duplicated.

Life is good here, just playing shows, and writing. Working on a new EP - not sure when it'll be released or anything ... but the work goes on!!! But to the point.. I'll be playing a show in New York (downtown Manhattan area) opening for Rusted Root at a Benefit Show (Flood Sisters Kidney Foundation - Give.Life.Live Benefit Show). Due to some funding problems on their end they are not able to provide housing for me. I really hate to be forward in asking ... but is there anyone (male or couple preferred - gotta keep the mrs happy!!) who'd be willing to house a starving musician July 6th - 12th. Basically I just need a place to crash while in town. If anyone is interested or knows of some creative housing solutions in the nearby area (I DON'T know New York at all) please contact me via e-mail ASAP (rongreenetunes@gmail.com)

Thanks!! I'll be better at keeping in touch on here. I miss my TAXI family!!!

I'd check the craigs list adds for temporary housing/ sublet. I've found some great housing solutions there. You need to be a bit careful and never send any cash through the mail - I've used paypal in the past without problems.

Best of luck!
Debra
