hello my fellow TAXI members (well I'm not a member anymore... my membership passed - but I'll be re-upping soon). Just thought I'd jot a few quick notes and tell all the wonderful people in Taxiland... HI!!! I hope everyone is doing great - I check up on those you who added me as a friend via reverbnation often (even if I don't say anything). Very bummed I missed the '09 Rally because made some great connections/friendships that just can't be duplicated.
Life is good here, just playing shows, and writing. Working on a new EP - not sure when it'll be released or anything ... but the work goes on!!! But to the point.. I'll be playing a show in New York (downtown Manhattan area) opening for Rusted Root at a Benefit Show (Flood Sisters Kidney Foundation - Give.Life.Live Benefit Show). Due to some funding problems on their end they are not able to provide housing for me. I really hate to be forward in asking ... but is there anyone (male or couple preferred - gotta keep the mrs happy!!) who'd be willing to house a starving musician July 6th - 12th. Basically I just need a place to crash while in town.
