no. 27 review of NEWCASTLE's in the AIR

Post by cliffrescue » Sat Jul 31, 2010 11:56 am

Hello no 27,
this has to be the fastest critique I've had, same day reply , I have sometimes waited over a week, cheers.

Thanks for the encouraging words.

1) Yes the vocal is right at the bottom of my range during the verses, so as to keep the chorus at the right pitch for crowd sing along.
SO take your point about lowering the volumes of the rest of the mix in order for the vocal to be heard clearly at those low points.
2) will also review the level of the crowd noise, you're right , it's too cheesy.
3) I did ask if the quality was good enough for radio or for submission to listings, but you have not mentioned this in the text, so I am assuming that production and engineering scores of 8 / 8 are good enough.
4) All in all, I am happy to be moving in the right direction, it is only a question of time and contiued effort..........

IF anyone wants to hear it , http://www.myspace.com/thetoonraiders NEWCASLE's in the AIR ( radio short )
IF anyone wants to comment........
