I only post this because there are a lot of music piracy conversations that happen on these boards and I think this lends a bit of interesting perspective.
I just stumbled across a post of Steve Jobs interviews at some old "all things digital" conferences. I've yet to watch the second video, so don't have anything to say about it, but I just finished the first and thought of all of you.

This is pretty wild stuff. I only became a mac user four years ago and was oblivious to all Apple stuff for twenty years before this. Check out the focus here and relate it to todays current state of the market. Very, very interesting.
If you are a hater, and I totally get it, at least skip ahead to about 20 minutes in when he talks about stealing music and their approach to the environment at that time. Some of the predictions are dead wrong, but you can see how they have adjusted their stance over the years, and some of this stuff is frightening accurate. Almost crystal ball kind of stuff.
At least watch from 20 minutes in to the end as that is where all the relevant juice is.
This will be fun to talk about. Comment away.
