All those piano lessons are starting to pay off!
Hey everyone! I haven't posted much lately, but I do check in on the forum. Congrats to all that have been forwarded and also for those landing deals. Way to go!A couple weeks ago, I received an email from a forward from almost a year ago. Here is the listing and the 2 songs are below. I had to go into the studio to recut for the time lengths needed, but otherwise they are good to go. S071212LVA range of great-sounding "LOVE SCENE" INSTRUMENTALS (no vocals) are needed by a U.K.-based Music Library/Publishing Co. for TV placement. This company ran numerous TAXI listings in 2006 (and signed many TAXI songs) and is now in need of more great material as their service has become very much in demand. They want love themes ranging from sweeping, orchestral textures to solo instrumental pieces (piano, violin, cello, etc.). The score to "Doctor Zhivago" is a great example (though not the only one, of course). They don't want tracks that sound like they were obviously MIDI generated - authenticity and great performances are the keys. Both instrumentals with lead melody lines and basic backing tracks that serve as "soundbeds" are OK - they want both. All tempos are OK. Track length should be in the 1:00 - 3:00 range. At this point they work mostly with prominent U.K. TV channels such as the BBC and ITV, but also supply music to other production companies that broadcast worldwide. They offer non-exclusive, 50/50 deals. Broadcast quality needed [great sounding home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than Dec. 12, 2007. TAXI # S071212LV1.) Nice work Vicky. You have a unique sound and very some nice songs. I haven't heard sitar in a song for a few years! Really like "The Hey Hey Song" and "I Miss You" too. That's my kind of music!Cam

Thank you very much Vicky for reminding us that good news sometimes takes a long time coming around.Congratulations on your deal. I remember how much extra work it is to do those alternative versions required by this particular library. All The Best,Allen
