Member Deals 12/1/08 – 12/31/08“It’s Wonderfully Crazy to be Scott Krippayne”Scott Krippayne (Washington)-Scott gave us a recent update that his song “Wonderful Crazy” has earned $9,000 so far as a direct result of a connection made through a TAXI Dispatch listing. His song was cut on the debut album of American Idol Juniors Katelyn Tarver, and was also placed in a movie and television ad. “Wonderful Crazy” was the title of the debut album, as well as a single on the album.Gabriel Saientz (Florida)-Gabriel recently notified us that he had two songs placed on ABC’s soap opera All My Children as a result of a forward through a TAXI Dispatch listing request. He also mentioned that he signed 7 smooth Jazz songs with MUZAK as a result of a connection made through TAXI.Anyone curious who won the “Live with Regis & Kelly” $100,000 Theme Song Contest? On his own, Gabriel won this contest! Congrats Gabriel!Mike Mostert (California)-Mike’s Hard Rock/Metal song “American Girl” was placed in the recent Seth Green movie called Sex Drive. This was the result of a forward he had through TAXI 1-year ago to a highly successful Music Publisher based in LA.Denny Earnest (Montana)-Denny, TAXI member since 1994, originally made a connection with an Independent Label which specializes in Film/TV placements through TAXI, and has landed placements on Life (NBC), Friday Night Lights (NBC), Everwood (WB), and the soap opera One Life To Live (ABC) just to name a few. Due to this connection, Denny is also working with a U.K. based Label/Production Music Library where they will be releasing his new Americana album and distributing his songs on iTunes.Michael Hendrix (Tennessee)-Michael’s song “White Lightning” recently aired on episode 410 of CBS’s Criminal Minds as a direct result of a forward through a TAXI listing request. This episode aired on December 10, 2008.Hanspeter Kruesi (Switzerland)-Hanspeter recently reported that he had his song “In Touch With God” placed on the December 4th episode of ABC’s Ugly Betty. This was a direct result of a forward to a leading Music Publisher based in LA.Barry Schleifer (Virginia)-As a result of a long going connection Barry made through TAXI with a highly successful Music Publisher, Barry had his song “Returns & Exchanges” placed on the November 2nd episode of CBS’s Cold Case.Logan Pepper (Texas)-After Logan handed his CD to a hit producer after the Producers panel at the TAXI Road Rally, the producer called him back to tell him he had talent, and wanted to work with him. Here’s what Logan had to say:“A call from a big-time producer, because I bothered to go to a free music convention. Crazy!”Stuart Ridgway (Virginia)-Stuart recently reported that he was contacted a month after he was forwarded through a TAXI Dispatch request by a Music Licensing company, and he signed a solo piano piece called “Wishing It Was Different.” This company is now requesting his entire catalog.Stuart Ridgway (Virginia)-Stuart also mentioned that similarly, he was contacted a month after he was forwarded through TAXI by a very successful Production Music Library. He originally signed his Action/Sports guitar-driven Instrumental “The Duel” and the company has requested more music from him.Stuart Ridgway (Virginia)-At a TAXI Road Rally, Stuart was able to connect with the President of a prominent Music Publishing Company with extensive film and TV Placements. After establishing this connection and friendship, Stuart started working with the President and sent him 16 dramatic/suspenseful Urban R&B/Hip-hop Instrumentals, which are now in the process of being manufactured. Stuart is current working on ambient tension tracks for this company.Dave Walton (Missouri)-As a result of a forward through a TAXI Dispatch listing request to a very successful Production Music Library, Dave had his 3 forwarded songs signed, as well as a request from the company for more songs to sign.Clifford Lamb (California)-Clifford recently reported to us by phone that even after his membership lapsed in November 2006, Clifford received a call a few months later from the President of an established Music Library/Publishing Company which he was forward to by TAXI, and signed his Jazz song “One Desire.”Bob Mete (Virginia)-Almost a year later after a forward through TAXI to a UK-based Production Music Library, Bob had his song “Raindrops & Moonbeams ver. 3” signed.Congrats to everyone in the month of December!
