Thank you, Rob. Considering the growth in my abdomen has actually shrunk, I'll stick w/ the Interferon for a while. The bummer, in a sense, is that the Leustatin works for anywhere from 3 mo.'s to 9 yr.'s, as far as the current extremes, before the growths start, again. 'Course, I discussed w/ the chat group that just 'cause the growths are gone doesn't mean the disease is. Bugger of a deal, huh?

I'm finding out that, though folks poo-hoo herbs, since I've been taking a number of them as well as supplements, many of my side effects have improved if not disappeared. Now, I'm talkin' legal herbs ;) . From information I get talking to others in our chat group, I'm one of few doing so well. I get 2 from 1+1. So, I firmly believe the extras I take are, at least, partly responsible for my remarkable health.

Spoke w/ my Pastor Sunday, and it looks like I'll be able to work this experience into a Ministry. I'm looking into the possibility of a small group. But, I will definitely be called on if someone in our church gets a scary diagnosis.
At any rate, I'm excited that I'll be serving. :)

The extra tube of Testim (Testosterone replacement gel) does seem to be helping. I've got a good deal more energy than I did before, and I'm able to get more done before I'm totally spent. I'm actually looking into doing some tree work that needs some attention before the house gets damaged.
Hope the old climbing rope holds. At least Mom'll be getting a little more firewood for that brutal SC Winter :lol: . Nah. It'll be nice knowing she's a little warmer.

Was given info today on a program that may help me get Testim either free or at a lower cost. THAT would help our situation a great deal. :-}

Just got an unexpected phone call from SC. My eldest sister & her hubby are coming up tomorrow to pick me up and surprise my Mom. She's having trouble w/ a reverse mortgage and equity line w/ the same bank. They are saying they can take her house even w/ the reverse mortgage. Rotten, greedy bas**rds. They'd take a life preserver from a drowning man in the middle of the Pacific Ocean during a typhoon to make a buck and don't care what bull they have to tell to get it, either.
Anyway. Mom's been talking about how bad she wants to see me, and they figure a visit will help put a smile on her face.
Dang!! I wish I could sell a song and give her the money :cry: .

Well, got back Tuesday from SC. Whew!! Mid September and still in the mid 90's + there. Hard to believe it snows there about once every 10-15 yrs. Hard to believe Mom, at 84, still push mows her 1 acre yd in that heat, too.
It's looking like Mom, w/ a little help from Andre Bauer's (Lieutenant Gov.) staff, maybe, has things working out (I ain't afraid to call anybody to help the lady who raised me) :D .
Had a wonderful visit. She and I are a good deal alike and can talk a mile a minute. Drives my wife nuts (lol). It did wonders for me to see her reaction when I came around the corner. It's even better to know the three of us helped pull her out of a depression. Well, four of us if you count "Curry", my wife's & my Yorkie. He took to her the first time he saw her 3 yrs ago. He doesn't do that! He makes it very obvious how much he likes her. He gets excited when we hit the exit more than 5 miles from her house and more so the closer we get. But, Mom's been petrified that she's going to lose the house, and she couldn't stop smiling once we got there.
Mom's a true Southern Belle w/ roots beyond the Mayflower, and, Man!, can she cook. She makes sure to fix a few of my fav's, like her egg salad, when I/we visit (Yeah! I'm a Mama's boy and proud of it). So, the trip did me quite a bit of good, too.
Took me a couple of days to recover, once I got back home (By the way, did great things to see my wife's reaction when we pulled up the drive, too. It is so nice to feel loved.). Guess it's the meds. But, I don't travel well.
Oh! I've gotten myself to the point where a 72 hr, 12 mcg Fentanyl (Duragesic) patch can last up to 84 hrs. So, I just may be moving down to something that doesn't keep me so light-headed and tired. That'd be nice. 8-)

Thanks so much, Anne.
As I've stated before, the support and thoughts from you guys are one of the things that have gotten me where I am today. :D
