Question on Film Listings

Post by evanmcgill » Sat Sep 04, 2010 8:51 pm

Hello all,

With Film placement for regular full length songs (not instrumentals), do they usually use the actual version that you submit/record, or will they re-record it (for a major film for example)? Thanks!

Evan

They generally don't re-record. That's why for film/TV you have to present a master quality recording that is usable 'as is'. The recording is a very critical element.
