I currently work overseas in Afghanistan. Matter of fact I've just started my 5th year. I create, compose, record and produce all my own original songs while stressing about iniment dangers and just making it through the day in one piece. I feel that real life pressures can create some of the best lyrics and even the most popular songs of our hearts generally stem from someone else's misfortune. I have recently created (2) songs that I'm very proud of and would love to share them with the world. "Get Back Home" is based on all the people that have given their lives in combat and touches on the hardship of those left behind with their grief. "Suffocating" is a song about my childhood and how even today I still struggle with deep seated anger and frustration. I'm new here too and just came across this.
I gotta say I was deeply, deeply touched by your song 'Get Back Home'.
The lyrics, the delivery...everything just hit home in a way hard to describe.
I live in complete awe of what you guys do out there. I could never do it and I pray for your safe return.

I think more people need to hear this. I suggest you put together a video of the song. Nothing fancy...just amateur footage and still photos of you guys out there. The laughter, the tears, the solitude and loneliness, the brother and sisterhood, the fear and the bravery....anything that tells the story of 'Get Back Home'.

Put it together and post it on Youtube. I think its well worth a try.

Thank you for your support for both my music and for being here and trying to make a difference. I have gathered some pics and video for making at rock video of the song. I'm just not so good at putting them together as you can see by some of my other poor attempts a www.youtube.com/dedbuny.
