Awesome 3 weeks

Well it's been pretty awesome as of lately.

In august i received my first licensing royalties from a Library I submitted music to outside of taxi. And then.... I received another one from a different library. And then..... another library contacted me and asked me to produce 15 new tracks from a reality tv producer to be completed within 2 weeks. And then... I received my first 2 deals from taxi:

SOUTH AFRICAN SONGS and INSTRUMENTALS - of all styles - needed by a Music Publisher for placement in Muzak-type applications (shops, restaurants, malls, etc.) as well as film and TV placements. Worldbeat style is okay but all ethnic instruments used must sound authentic. He's asked us to be extra selective in what we forward - he wants quality over quantity - so your performances and recording must be excellent. He offers numerous types of publishing deals. Broadcast quality needed (excellent home recordings are fine). Please submit one to three songs and/or instrumentals online or per CD, include lyrics (if applicable). All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than Thursday, August 19, 2010. TAXI #Y100819SA

and

TRADITIONAL ETHNIC SONGS and INSTRUMENTALS in the French, German, Irish, Scottish, and Eastern European styles etc., needed by a very successful Production Music Library who has placements with ABC, CBS, NBC, WB, Disney, Discovery, Lifetime, Fox, USA, etc. They want Real Ethnic music, not fusion, world, or new age. Instrumentation must be authentic to the region. Broadcast quality is necessary (excellent sounding home recordings are fine). Please submit one to three instrumentals online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than 10:00am (PST) on Tuesday, April 27, 2010. TAXI #D100427ET

15 new tracks in 14 days was a great experience and challenge.... i hope the producers of the show use them!! If not, it was a great way to add more material to my catalogue!!
