Ariel Hyatt
I am having a heck of time keeping track of all the internet ops that are popping up. Does anyone use Ariel Hyatt for cyber publicity?

Re: Ariel Hyatt
I haven't used her for Cyber PR but if you don't have her book Music Success in Nine Weeks yet it's fantastic! It really clears up what's important and why and what's not important. Though I too am curious about getting an individualized campaign from Ariel. She also does a nine week course (which I think goes through the book) but you get direct feedback from her and it's much cheaper than hiring her straightout.

Re: Ariel Hyatt
Ariel ran a workshop at the TAXI Road Rally last year and I got a great deal of valuable information from CyberPR.
A friend of mine http://www.nikkiloy.com took up her 9 week blog challenge and I believe Ariel is running another one from 11.10.2010 (October, assuming that's the American date format - that's November where I come from
)

You could start there and if their material works engage with them for a bigger campaign?

Yeah, funny, that; we put the month first, in the US, unless we're in the bass ackwards military, which uses DD/MM/YYYY

Re: Ariel Hyatt
I think Ariel is terrific. I have her book. She came to my home town and gave a presentation as part of a songwriting conference and I was extremely impressed... she gave out all kinds of new information beyond what was in her book. I participated in her last blogging contest and I highly recommend it as a way to get to work on what she advises in the book. That will give you a start, as suggested above.

Re: Ariel Hyatt
My wife, a New Age/World singer/songwriter, used Ariel Publicity. While the results were pretty good, we felt that it was ultimately not worth the very high price tag - she got much more out of a radio promotion campaign (which was a little less expensive) through a New Age-specific promoter. I think your efficacy with Ariel may depend on you writing more popular styles of music.

Re: Ariel Hyatt
Thanks all for the comments. I can swing the cost of the book and I like the idea of the nine week blog contest (makes one finish the darn thing!)
I am getting some pretty unbelievable critiques from Taxi and other un-named A&R web based groups. Phrases like "nailed it" and "no improvement needed". One song hit #1 on the charts of a streaming website on the first week of release.
Now what? Cash flow. Ariel seems to be into the biz and a nine week push seems to be in order.

Ariela is constantly "on her game". She is on a never-ending quest to seek out the latest industry PR and Marketing information. Whatever she does not find, she tends to "invent". I met Arial at Taxi Rally 2008. She is very friendly and knowledgeable. I own a copy of her "Music Success in 9 Weeks" book. Using your favorite online search engine, type in "Sound Advice TV" and these key words will lead you to MANY valuable (and free) Arial Hyatt video clips, many of which care that of her interviewing music industry people. You can also go to her website and sign up for her always-informative online newsletter.
