Re: Your TOP-10 Favorite Films!
I don't claim these are the best films ever made, or even good films. I just love 'em.
Better Off Dead
Casino Royale
The Princess Bride
Moulin Rouge
Blazing Saddles
Little Shop of Horrors
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut
The Sixth Sense
Alien/Aliens
My Cousin Vinny
And my all-time guilty pleasure, Xanadu.

Re: Your TOP-10 Favorite Films!
Just this minute finished watching the first season of 24 on Netflix. It's great, the twists and turns in the plot, the acting the music, the complex relationships between candidate Parker and his wife and Jacks relationships. I was amazed. Plus no commercials on netflix and I could watch them at my leisure. Not really a film but it is a cohesive story from beginning to end and it's very creative and well done.
OK that's "film" no. 1
Hard to pick the rest
Godfather I and II, that's kinda one film
The Trilogy of the Ring, again three movies but one story
Wizard of Oz
The Natural with Robert Redford
Cannery Row with Nick Nolte and Debra Winger
The Hudsucker Proxy by the Cohen Bros.
Giant
The Rear Window
Hard to pick a Woody Allen flick, they're just so many versions on the same theme. But I agree Hannah and Her Sisters may have somed up his thing the best.

Re: Your TOP-10 Favorite Films!
Oh this is a great post. I love top 10 movie lists!
Here are mine - the order changes every once in a while:
Goodfellas - Arguably Scorcese at his finest
Blue Velvet - My Introduction to master Lynch
Godfater 1 & 2 - Most of the time I consider these number one, but not tonight
Pulp Fiction - Absolutely brilliant
Chinatown - This movie builds to a remarkable climax
The Towering Inferno - So much more than a disaster flick
The Thin Red Line - A movie so beautiful that I refuse to watch again to not spoil the vivid memory I have of it.
When Harry Met Sally - A movie that I have seen so many times and yet it makes me laugh without fail
Star Wars/Empire/Jedi - The movies that made me fall in love with movies - and John F**king Williams!
The Exorcist - the only movie that ever scared the holy crap out of me - I had nightmares for years
Guilty Pleasures:
Top Gun - "That's right Maverick, I am dangerous!"
Basic Instinct - Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas hamming it up - so freakin good!
Total Recall - Arnold saving the planet of Mars!!

Re: Your TOP-10 Favorite Films!
Well, I have to say yes to our "Governator" about some of the above!
"Terminator 2" --- total chaos, and the enemy is SO evil! Great flick!
"Total Recall" --- one of the best Sci-Fi movies! Love it!
Of course, there's the ulitmate takeoff from "B" sci-fi movies: "Ed Wood." Johnny Depp and Martin Laudau are brilliant in that one!

Re: Your TOP-10 Favorite Films!
- Paris, Texas (love this little known Wim Wenders film, got to see it because of Ry Cooder)
- Star Trek (MAN, they nailed the sound on the latest Star Trek, I watch Star Trek on a weekly basis)
- Citizen Kane (studied that one to bits in College classes)
- The Harry Potter films (I don't have patience for the books, but looove the films!)
- The Cannonball films (bad taste maybe, but entertaining bad taste, and I love Burt Reynolds!)
- All the President's Men (I'm a big Robert Redford fan, and this one is killer!)
- The way we were (favourite romantic movie, so soft and sweet)
- The Aliens films (these are just so well done, especially the first film noir one)
- The Rocky films (Sly is my favourite action guy! I've seen everything he's done)
- It's a wonderful life (just prototype christmas, and James Stewart was the most believable actor ever!)
- The Spider Man films (I read all of the Marvel comics as a kid, love all the films from it. Waiting for one with "Green Lantern", my favourite character!)
- The James Bond films (classics, each and every one!)
- As good as it gets (I really like Nicholson in this type of role)
- Singin' in the rain (can't help myself from loving this, I'm a sucker for musicals)
- The bridges of Madison Country (The soft side of the Clint, and oooh thatMeryll Streep!)

- Modern times (saw this first as a kid and the images from it just stuck, hard pressed I'd say this is the greatest movie ever made)
- Kid Galahad (my favourite Elvis movie, juust above "King Creole" and "Loving you")
D..., too many, but you can't get too many good things..

Re: Your TOP-10 Favorite Films!
Aha! How can anyone forget "Citizen Kane!?" A masterpiece. And has anyone mentioned "Gone With The Wind!?"
Also, the first "Rocky" is a great movie. My wife disagrees, but f^@* her!
And, one of my faves that I forgot is "Fight Club." Critics disagree mostly, but I thought it was Brilliant! I've been trying to get my wife to watch it, but see "Rocky" above.
--- Since we're talking that language, my wife LOVES "Raging Bull" as I do. Go figure!
