Listing # Y101018AR

Post by blamm » Sat Oct 02, 2010 8:31 pm

CONTEMPORARY, MOODY INDIE/ALT ROCK SONGS with VOCALS (GIRLS/GUYS OK) a la Thirty Seconds to Mars, Arcade Fire and Muse wanted by top TV Publisher servicing television shows around the globe to the tune of 1200 high-end placements a year.
Is it me, or are those 3 very different bands? I know people that like those bands, but I can't think of anyone that likes all 3 of them (not to say that person doesn't exist...just sayin'). To lump them together in that "a la" statement makes it very difficult to pinpoint what is wanted here, style-wise...as if it wasn't already hard enough to give 'em what they want ;)

I agree they are very different when compared to each other. But what they are saying by listing those a la's is that they aren't that picky in the style they want. Just in the performance, recording quality, etc... So if you have a song that sounds like any of those bands could have done it, or even something in between, and it is BQ then submit it. They may have a deal for you.
