BMI or ASCAP?

Following on from this topic http://forums.taxi.com/topic24368.html I'm going to investigate if I can join BMI or ASCAP as a British composer.

I am sure it's much of a muchness, however, I am eager to know what are Taxi peoples experience of either organisation?
