Hey! That's the name for her next album!
BLOOD AND GUITAR STRINGS
It's catchier than "Blood on the Dance Floor", isn't it?

Hah! You are too funny Casey. Are you bringing a gaggle of Bats again this year? If not, I guess I'll have to resort to playing polkas and Muzak versions of Bohemian Rhapsody . . .Casey H wrote:Last year in the hotel lobby, after a round of death metal rock on her uke, Suz bit off some bat heads and set three guitars on fire.... I forgot to mention that no animals were actually harmed for this performance.suzdoyle wrote:Hah! You are too funny Casey. Are you bringing a gaggle of Bats again this year? Most likely I'll be doing mostly informal jam sessions with folks, but also accompanying folks who need a piano or guitar player at the open mics. Otherwise, I'm mostly going to go with the flow at this year's rally.
Will you be bringing your bass with you?
Be sure and track me down . . . it would be fun to jam with you!
Suz
P.S. Most likely I'll be the person playing heavy metal songs on the ukuele .... heheheh.
Yea, the thing about jam sessions is you can't plan too much... Whatever happens happens in a fairly impromptu manner. Go with the flow. If you don't have an instrument bring a kazoo.dynamicalan wrote:Suz, Casey and Everyone,suzdoyle wrote:Hi Alan;

I heard that the open mic's are no drums so I called Taxi and they said there's no Jam session room or any amplifiers. I think you were asking if I was bringing my acoustic bass. I play electric. I thought it was an organized event with a sound system.
I should have figured that out before now. I see from the nature of the posts that it must be playing and singing acoustically in the lobby and in the hall ways. I do feel a bit absent. If that's the case I don't think I will bring my bass. Bringing an acoustic bass on the plane would be much more difficult.
Thanks,
Alan
No need to apologize. It's all good. Looking forward to meeting you!dynamicalan wrote:Casey,
I think I bring it anyway but not for the jam sessions. It would not make any sense to play it without amplification. It would be for the open mic's incase someone would like a bass player. I haven't gotten any response about that so I am sure that won't happen. I am sure there won't be that much time for that anyway.
I am afraid this is my bad. I never would have started this thread to ask what people want to play in the lobby and the corders. This does seem a bit strange. I apologize.
Sincerely,
Alan
