sad :(

Post by DesireeBowen » Thu Oct 07, 2010 8:14 pm

I can't go to the Rally after all. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and is having a rough time of it, so I don't feel like I can leave. I of course want to be nearby her, but I am really disappointed too. I was really looking forward to it! For everyone that is going, I expect *lots* of details! I'll be there for sure next year. I just hope this won't delay my progression too much. Have a great time all!

Sorry to hear it Desiree! You're making the right decision, though I understand your disappointment. My thoughts are with you and your mother.

So sorry to hear about your Mom, Desiree. My best thoughts are with you. Family first. There will always be more rallies.

Warmest,
Casey

I'm sorry to hear about your mom... I pray that she (and you) stay strong to beat it! You are absolutely doing the right thing (in my opinion) by staying with her. Mom's come first...

Rock on... be her rock to lean on.

Am sending healing thoughts to your mom, and to you as you support her through this health challenge. Sorry I won't get to meet you in person at this year's rally!

Big Hugs,
Suz

Very sad to hear it, Desiree...
My mother had breast cancer (twice)... I'm sure this is extremely, extremely tough on your mother, but also on you as well. Hang in there...
This will be my first Rally and I'm incredibly excited, but for me family would always come first so I think you're doing the right thing. I'm sure you'll also be that much more motivated for next year's Rally.
Take care,
Roland

Desiree,

I'm so sorry about your Mom. You're doing the right thing though. I can't make it to the rally either. Maybe next year.

Dorothy
