Much appreciated. I didn't think it was necessary.........but I read something on a listing that said "You must control the masters and publishing for the song" or something to that effect. Not sure if I've missed this before, so it made me a little paranoid.

So don't think you need to be a registered publisher to be taken seriously or to get placements in film/tv. Remember it's the publisher who gets you the placements...if that publisher is you, then you'll be the one responsible for getting the placements...

You automatically control the publishing until/unless you assign it, in writing, to somebody else. However you may not control the masters, if outside musicians played on them and you didn't obtain a release from those outside musicians.peeyo wrote:Much appreciated.
