Song 'shops' ?
While listening to a TAXI broadcast someone mentioned pretty good 'song shops' in both Nashville and LA. It sounded as if you could take a song to a recording studio and they could record a good demo cut for you? If anyone has a suggestion for an 'LA sound' song shop that puts out good, broadcast quality cuts I would love to know about it. Thanks! Vicky

DBW Productions in L.A. has done excellent work for me.

I'd recommend doing a Google search, asking multiple forums, and most importantly asking the studios for samples of their work so that you can make sure the quality is to your liking. Have fun--happy hunting!

I recommend 7generations studios. They're based in bay area but Christopher the engineer/producer is a really nice guy, gives you a good deal and their product is far and away much much better than most of the fast food demo studios you might find.

Locally I've also worked with producer Jon Chi. He has a really good vision and doesn't just pump out cookie cutter demos. He's done 3 songs for me and I think some of his work has been brilliant. I got more than I expected. If you wanted to contact him, just message me directly.vreardon wrote:While listening to a TAXI broadcast someone mentioned pretty good 'song shops' in both Nashville and LA.
