Had a rather strange day. Now, I replaced my Fentanyl patch at about Midnight Monday morning, Sunday night, whatever. So, by today I shoulda been fine. But, all day today I've felt like someone was stirring my brains w/ their finger. I've been very light headed and unsteady on my feet. Tired, too.
I did have an interferon shot this am. But, those don't bother me much anymore.
I had a small group meeting w/ some church members from 7-9 pm that I really look forward to each wk.. At 8:45 I remembered!! Dang it!!
Well, my vision is pretty scary when I'm like this. Just shaky w/ bad peripheral scope, and I would've been coming home on poorly lit, winding, country mountain roads after dark. So, maybe It's a good thing I didn't try to drive. Better to miss group than get killed or hurt someone else.
I just really hate it. 'Cause we're studying a very good book called, "Crazy Love" (Check out crazylovebook.com ), and I really am learning and enjoying the book and discussions.

Thanks, Ben.
I try to eat as many organic foods as possible. But, when they're out of our price range, we do the best we can. I do like my fruits and veggies, though.
I wound up calling my doc, just as a heads up in case this experience was an indicator of something going really haywire. So, guess where I'm headed Tuesday. I'm back in the MRI machine. Good thing my wife's an RN Supervisor, a recent promotion :D (yeah. I'm very proud of her) . If it weren't for her, I'd be living in a cardboard box. I feel bad sometimes, 'cause she didn't sign up for this. I'm becoming an expensive item.
Well, we can never complain about life being boring!

I picked up a copy of my MRI report, and everything apparently looks stable. Then, why have I had a headache 9 of the last 10 days? Man! I wish I just needed my oil changed!

The Ophthalmologist was very happy w/ the results of my exam Monday. So was my bride. We went to TGI Friday's for lunch afterward. :D

Only thing that bothered me w/ my visit to the eye doc was his tone of voice when he said, "You're in the Normal Range". Sounded like "Just barely". But, I was tired. Any more, if I don't get 9-10 hrs sleep, I just don't fire on all cylinders. That includes my vision.
But, we'll learn more in 6 Mo.'s. They'll check my optic nerve then, too.

Got some sad news from our, ECD Global Alliance, president recently. One of our folks in Australia had undergone Chemo for her ECD. This weakened her immune system to the point she developed Thrush. She then worsened to the point that she was admitted to ICU at her local hospital. On October 28 she passed on at the age of 33. She was a mother, wife and daughter. Our group is doing all we can to give comfort to her family across the distance.
This news served to remind me that, though I have been greatly blessed w/ good health, and a good sense of humor, through this trial, it is not to be taken lightly. I have a wonderful support system, family and all. This makes me even more determined that this disease WILL NOT win.
We have been blessed with a fairly sizeable grant to fund studies. But, as the key to a cure is research, if anyone has knowledge pertaining to fundraisers, our group would greatly appreciate any ideas offered. Contact: erdheim-chester.org

Thanks, and bless you all,
Walt
