Tips For Writing Anthem Hard Rock Songs?

Hi,
My band recently played a cover of Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" and that has inspired me to write a song like that one. I noticed that they have a guitarist playing a constant muted C note in the beginning that sets the tone for that song and the chord changes are very tight. I was thinking of using the "I Was Born To Rock" idea and just re-writing all of it (my lyrics for that should be in the lyric lovers section). Any ideas on what themes I should focus on for the lyrics? Any other songs that I should look into for inspiration? Thanks for your time and attention.
