Greetings From LA

Post by Casey H » Fri Nov 05, 2010 6:02 pm

Just popped in to say hi from the Road Rally. It's great to see so many of my Taxi friends here- I've gotten to meet some folks for the first time and reconnect with long time friends.

It's kinda cool when people walk up to me and say, "Oh, you're Casey from the forum. I know you! Thanks for all your posts"... Sometimes people who don't post but read the forum know us even if we don't know them.

The "dot" thing (credit Dave Walton) was a great idea.

Anyway, having a great time as always. It's hard to describe. There's just an energy here with thousands of folks just like yourself all around.

Best,
:) Casey

Back home on the East Coast... It was great meeting so many of you! 8-)

I'm in serious need of sleep. Last night I stayed up all night-- hung out in the dot lounge till after 3AM and then took a 5:30AM shuttle to the airport. It was impossible to go to bed with so many great folks downstairs to talk to!

Thank you ML and your staff, as well as all the folks involved, for another great experience.

Hi Casey,

I was hoping to get with you at the rally but never got the opportunity; seems like you were constantly surrounded like a rock star ;) Hopefully next year...

Sorry I didn't get to meet you! Hope you had a great time!

PS Maybe it's your avatar... I didn't see anyone who looked quite like you, though some definitely shared the enthusiasm!

Finally caught up after 90 minutes of sleep in 36 hours!

I had a great time meeting everyone. It was like NOTHING I had ever done before and quite possibly the greatest weekend of my life (yes, I'm single with no kids!!!).

Keep in touch everyone!

Evan

Hope you got some sleep last night!
