What a weekend!

Post by elser » Fri Nov 12, 2010 4:07 pm

Just got back to civilization and an internet connection after leaving the rally.

What an awesome time! Thanks to everyone who worked to put the thing together and to everyone who attended and made it such a great event. It was really great to finally put a face on all the people who I've had relationships with on the forum these few years.

The warmth and enthusiasm that resonates on the forum was really there at the rally and even more impressive.

I had a great time chatting with every person who I had a chance to! There were others who I recognized but for whatever reason didn't get around to hanging with and I hope we get to meet next year.

Michael, you've put together something that you can be truly proud for the rest of your life! I'm proud to be just a small part of it.

Aaannnd...I got to sleep with Tino for three days! (separate beds of course :D )

Jon,

Great to finally meet you!! I'm glad you had a good time, it's pretty hard not to, but you seem like you know how to do it well!

We all understood what Tino was saying, but got a chuckle out of it anyway! I'm sure it was fun rooming with him!

Hope to see you again. Let me know if you're heading my way and I'll do the same if I make it over to Reno.

Good luck and have fun!

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

It's funny, you can get a sense of a person's character from posting on a forum but it's such a small part of who that person is.

John and Keith, I've known you guys somewhat through the forum but to find out how interesting, passionate and funny you are in person was really great.

Tino, I didn't know you that well from the forum, but I guess I got to know you pretty well that weekend and I'm really proud of you. It's no wonder those guys gave you that drum, you deserve it!
