Re: Just a request.
So, Wed. I have an appt. w/ the Oncologist. He'll reveal his thoughts on my latest MRI. Hopefully, we'll find out what was going on a while back w/ the brain stirring episode, 10/5, and w/ the headaches that followed ( Had one 9 of the next 10 days). I do feel much better, now.

The Oncologist said everything checks out, and I'm stable. He had no answer for the episode I spoke of w/ the stirring feeling and the headaches. He just wants to continue w/ the MRI's & CAT scans every 6 mo.'s to keep close tabs on me. We had a laugh about my being a mystery
. He was quick to tell me, after his contact w/ my Ophthalmologist, not to drive if there is any question about my vision.
We've found out recently that the insurance I'm switching to is actually going to save us moolah. Boy! That's good to hear.

I tend to agree, EO. Few months ago, my Ophthalmologist said he was particularly pleased w/ how I've been doing. After seeing my MRI and Bone scan, my "TEAM" didn't think I'd be around this long ( He was just being honest to emphasize how pleased he and my other doc's have been). I enjoy giving folks pleasant little surprises like that
.

Re: Just a request.
Less than a wk. after the driving advice, I found an agency that offers transportation to folks on Medicare. There's a $2 charge for in-town trips. But, the great thing is they'll take me to Asheville for a $12 round trip fee. That's a load off of my mind. My wife either has to take me to the docs and rush to prep. for work after or, she has to get up on her day off and drive when she might not feel like it. That's happened enough that I've really begun to feel like a burden.
Don't know if my wife will go for the $12. Depends on how precious her day off and me time is.
Funny thing is, I once worked for this agency.

I should probably make an appt w/ the head doc, again. You'd have to be here to understand. But, I've been having thoughts I shouldn't be having. I know better than to do anything stupid. Some of the behavior the last few months has me feeling like my better half would be better off w/out my weight on the account and her shoulders. That can't be good. It's been a while since I felt wanted around here. With all I go thru, the up and down effects of my meds thrown in, it really sinks deep when a person looks for ways to get away from me. We'll figure it out.
I got further experience that hinted at my not driving, especially at night. I was on my way to church small group Tues. night and ran off the rd several times. So, one of my wonderful church family has volunteered to pick me up and take me to group then back home. Whew! Load off my mind. I just couldn't see well at all. It was raining. But, still....

Something I thought of last night, one of the side effects of the Fentanyl patch is dialated pupils. Could explain my problems w/ driving. I've noticed oncoming headlights really hurt my eyes, bad enough that I have to divert my vision to the right. Otherwise, the lights come pretty close to blinding me, and I run off the road. Probably not good, huh?
Good thing I'm not a politician. That idea makes sense. So, I'd likely ignore it

Thank you so much, Heather. Prayers and a thick skull have been my saving grace thru this. I knew God gave me a double hard skull for a reason.
