Some Taxi Returns signed to a library

Post by jparker » Wed Nov 10, 2010 8:17 pm

I received a message from a library in LA on the first day of Road Rally that they wanted to sign a few tracks that I had sent directly to them. The part where Taxi is involved is that some of these were returns from submissions earlier in the year. Instead of getting discouraged I retooled and remixed the tracks based on the feedback I received from the critiques. One was a YES/NO return, but the screener made a couple of comments on the return that the track sounded too processed, so I followed his advice and re-recorded the track. Shows the screeners often know what they are talking about, and it helps to listen.
Thanks, Taxi!

That is very cool. It's definitely an attitude that "we can always improve" that ultimately helps us get the gig. I guess sometimes "MY MUSIC IS GREAT... DOESN'T NEED ANY OF YOUR COMMENTS" works but probably not often and I like your approach much better. :D
