Contemporary inspirational inst. rock listing Y101213RK

Post by shanegrla » Fri Dec 10, 2010 2:50 pm

Okay, I'm a little confused about this one that just came in. They're looking for contemporary, upbeat, inspirational rock. One of the a las is The Killers. Okay, fine, I get that. But the main a la is The Verve "Bittersweet Symphony," and also Coldplay -- both I would say are certainly inspirational but most definitely not very upbeat!

I'd love to respond to it. I've already got a very "Bittersweet" idea going in my head -- very inspirational, but it's also a much slower tempo. Anyone able to shed some light on this one?

I'm totally there with you. In fact, I thought I'd check the forum to ask the same exact thing. Any body with any ideas on this one? At this point, I'm thinking upbeat...a la Killers (Mr. Brightside)?

I called Taxi with the same question - the nice lady who answered said "uptempo, energetic" was specific enough to not use the tempo of Bittersweet as a reference.

Glad to see I'm not alone in this confusion.

Thanks, guys.
