I'm James from Sheffield in the UK and I can tell you it feels great to have finally joined TAXI after doing plenty of lurking around these boards for quite a while
. I started to believe my standard was high enough for me to join so I took the plunge and signed up, and I know it can be a long slow game but I hope to be a member here for years to come 
.I'm not a singer/songwriter and just like to focus on producing instrumental music and my favourite genres for doing this are Classical, Pop, R'n'B, Hip Hop and Electronica/Dance - so when I've been here a while hopefully my artist profile will be flowing in a whole load of such music. That's not to say I automatically rule out other genres and recently I've bought a nice VST from EastWest called RA so I can dabble in ethnic music.
I don't know if this is cheeky as it is my first post but I did submit some instrumentals to a Hip Hop listing a few weeks ago and have recently found out they have been returned. I'm fine with that but I can't put my finger on why 2 of the 3 tracks I submitted were returned. It was a Y/N listing so there was no critique and the only checkbox that was ticked was 'music' for the reason for not getting forwarded. The other one was not stylistically on target which I could understand, it was too uplifting for a "bad ass beat" (listing's words not mine). Here is the listing actually:
