Can't find this. Anyone?

Post by bithprod » Sat Jan 15, 2011 3:04 pm

I've searched through the Taxi website, but I couldn't find the average conversion rate (of all members combined, that is). I still haven't signed up, and I'd like to see this number first. Perhaps I'm just techically challenged... or it could be that it's very difficult to find the correct number. I'd still like to see an estimate. :?

Do you mean forwards to deals?
Evocative Music For Media

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

This might be what you're looking for...

http://www.taxi.com/abouts/successrate.html

FWIW... I'd definitely suggest a bit of time (maybe a month or two) to look through the listings as they come up (twice a month). That should be enough time to see which listings you think you'd do well with and see how many of those there are. Pick a listing or two and post (here on the forum) the description of that listing along with a track or two of yours that you feel would work. That way at least you'll get a little feedback in advance of making a commitment to join. And... be open minded. We're definitely here to help... we (all us musicians/artists/composers) are all on the same side so just don't get caught in the "it's them against me" trap that some fall into when maybe their music needs a bit (or a lot) of improvement.

I think you'll find that here on the forum, the "success rate" is pretty high (relative to the entirety of the membership). It's the music of course, but a lot of that has to do with attitude and a non-emotional, professional approach to delivering the music that's being asked for. For the most part, it's a "willingness to learn" long-term attitude that is the norm here and that goes a long way towards long-term success.

Anway... good luck with all that and hopefully we'll continue to see you on the forum.
