Hello friends at Taxi,

I'm a guitarist/singer with The Fabrockators. I thought it would be helpful to list websites that allow you to obtain fans relatively easy with little or no money. I used to friend people on Myspace but I stopped after the redesign, now I'm friending people on YouTube. I still haven't completely figured out how to use Facebook. Any other site suggestions? Thanks

Another way is to build a good interesting properly configured web site and properly optimize it , promote it, and use all of the search based techniques that I teach people (how is that for a plug...) just like you would for any business.

You can check out Headliner.fm

I have had some success getting through, but not a lot of new fans. But I think the more you work it, the more it works for you. Also, if you have a genre that is more represented by other artists, you may have better luck.

Soundcloud.com also has some interesting social networking features going on.

Hey Kayle, thanks for the info. I did some reasearch on Headliner.fm and I found this article that talks about a flaw in the site but I'm not really sure what the author is trying to say about how to work around the flaw. Any ideas?
