Congrats Jeff!!! I admire your discipline. It isn't always easy keeping yourself in that studio chair!

Jeff,

First off, congrats on all the placements!!! That's way cool!

Second of all, I can totally relate! Having a day gig and at the same time cranking out well over 100 pieces a year means something has to give!! My city of SF has, I hear, a very good nightlife, but I don't experience any of it (except the ballet and a restaurant every now and then) either. But you are right, checking that ASCAP page and seeing new cue sheets every once in a while, plus those checks, really keeps the fire lit.

Sleep is over rated!! :o ;)

Way to go!!

All I can say is "Bravo"! :P

Burnout is normal, even if you don't have a day gig...it's good to take some time off from time to time and do completely non music related things...

Thanks everyone, appreciate it!

Yeah Mazz, I know you've got your hands full in and out of the day gig as well.
And yes, Matt, I'm trying to balance it all a tiny bit better this time around.

Congrats, Jeff! Your hard work is paying off. I've chosen a slower pace of growing my career as a composer, because it's important to me to have good self care and a balance between being and doing (and I'm a recovering "busy-a-holic," so keeping a natural, organic pace of life is something I've worked hard to create and maintain). However, I do understand the exhilaration of working hard and seeing the results come in. :-)

There are many ways to do this music biz thing, and each person has to find their own way to making it work for them.

BRAVO! again on seeing your work come to fruition so wonderfully!

Hi Jeff,

You are such an inspiration to us! And we're REALLY glad you took a little break and broke out of the studio chains to get together with fellow composers last Friday. The fact that you're so busy but took time to do that is all the more amazing!

Hope to see you again soon, and congratulations on all of your successes!

You rock! :D

Thanks Suz! Yea I need to pace myself (mainly get a lil more sleep). You're one of my longtime TAXI buds so I'm always excited to see what you've been up to. Thanks for the Uke tips, I've been playing!

Thanks T&V! I'm so happy I went and you'll be seeing me again soon for sure. You guys rule!
