I have read the forum newbies post and decided to participate with some information about myself.
I'll try not to make a wall of Text.
My name is Joseph T. Vasquez (or j03 for short), I just turned 30 April 25th, 2011. I am from San Francisco California.
I don't really play any instruments per say, although I managed to teach myself piano and studied others which are typical band and orchestral instrument types so I can try to make it sound real as possible only using a keyboard and some software. Anyways, I have been producing Beats/Instrumentals since I was 14. Started out with Rap, HipHop, and R&B. I then experimented doing soundtrack/theme/instrumental type music. Which turned out quite fun and cool sounding when I made a melody using bird chirp samples.
So, through the years ive had many friends(and strangers) that rap or sing come over to my house and record on my beats. I was the beatman in my area. I then landed doing some beats for some Bay Area Rappers such as Mr. Kee, Messy Marv, Tension, RBL Posse (Which didnt go down), and others for a compilation CD which didnt do too well.
I had took about 1 1/2 yrs of college majoring in Music Composition but I was undecided for a number of years and ended up majoring in Electronics Engineering.
So thats my history in music.
Now I am here...
I have found out about Taxi about 3 years ago, and ever since been watching almost all the uStream videos, youtube videos, observing the forum, reading all the information on the site, basically getting all the information I can about the company. Now, I am a Taxi member since April 23rd 2011.
I have a few songs uploaded, all are 5-7 yrs old except for "Grimesta" and "Tree Of Life", which I submitted to some listings, mainly ones that give critiques to see where I am at.
