Angela,
I forgot to mention - have you considered re-titling this son to "It's my Turn". I think that's what most folks will walk away singing and / or remembering. Just a thought.

Hi Angela
A fellow Philly area resident here! I don't live very far from the studio you record in.
I really enjoyed this! Good song!
I think it would work well for film/TV with some mix changes. I agree with others that the vocal could be more upfront and powerful. I also found the drum track distracting at times.
I like the slightly quirky singer-songwriter feel which is pretty popular today.
Good luck with it!

Re: Come Back - worth recording professionally?
This doesn't so much need to be re-recorded, just remixed/mastered. Some elements (mainly the percussion) are a little too crispy in the trebles. Maybe a matter of style, but I'd like to hear more melisma and less "bay-hay-ee-by" chopping of the syllables-THAT would require re-singing, but maybe not a deal-breaker; just a little selective filtering would make this broadcast-quality, and the subject matter is ripe for a sync use, imo. It also might sound more expensive with more realistic drum sounds; the upright also sounds like a sample, to my ear. Okay, I've talked myself into re-recording, heh.
Aside from the sounds, this is a wonderful song and singer; your website looks nice, too, and gets straight to the point. (nice profile pic, too) Me likey. It's probably good to go, as is, but I'd spend the extra for an artist pitch; you're young enough and skinny enough, if you don't mind barnstorming the country in a van full of sweaty heathens. If you have artistic aspirations, PM me, I may know someone that can help.
