New song, would love input

Post by rcd709 » Thu Jun 23, 2011 5:19 pm

Hi there, I'm new to Taxi, member for a few months. I have only posted one song so far until I get an ideal of where I am in this sea of music. Any feedback is welcome. thanks. Ricky Charles Dodson

I'd love to give it a listen. The link pops to my TAXI homepage. Can you give us the link to yours?
Thanks,
Pat

Like the song, cool story behind it. I'd keep my eye open for film/tv placements on this. Once you start submitting you'll get feedbacks that will help you. I've been a member for over a year, did 17 submissions, and just got my first forward this week. I went to the convention in Nov. which really motivated me a lot and I learned a lot from the seminars and one-on-one sessions. TAXI wasn't what I expected when I first joined, but I'm finding I'm not dissapointed at all. I've learned to write songs better, and in the Eastern VA locality I'm in it's paying off. Our songs are on radio here, and we're getting more fan response due to marketing tips and classes I took.
Best of luck! I hear this song in a modern western!

Hello Ricky -

Welcome to taxi. It's a great place to hang out.

By the way, from another forum topic, here is how you add a taxi page link. I think it works best if you put it in your signature.
Q: How do I link to my taxi music page?

A: What name did you use when you signed up for your music account? Let's assume it was "myname"... E.G.

Dave the only thing that saved my behind on that was we had a bunch of pipes froze and flooded the house about a week later. I skirted my wife's wrath because it all ran out and saved us great damage and I pleaded it as a clear case of fate.

Ricky,

Cute song and welcome to the forum. I'm not sure what the market would be for this song - it's a bit out of my genre - but I hope you find one. Good luck.

Don
