Placement!

Post by Mark Crozer » Tue Aug 02, 2011 2:55 am

Phew! One of my tunes has finally made it into a TV show and it only took (almost) 3 years! This came about from a Taxi forward to a music library back in November 2008. The library contacted me to ask for more music in May 2009 and then a couple of months later I was in. After two years in their library this tune grabbed someone's attention. Funny thing is, I saw it registered with my PRO and didn't recognize the title. After a quick email to the library I learned it is in fact a re-title of a re-title... Slightly confusing but anyway... Hoorah! I doubt it'll make me more than a couple of dollars but it's definitely another kick up the backside to carry on writing, recording and submitting.

Thanks Taxi!

Mark

Congrats Mark!!

It's a great feeling, isn't it? Definitely one of those "priceless" momements where it's not about the amount of the royalties.

I hope it's the first of many!!

Best,
:) Casey

Thank you Vince, Cher and Bruce. Just signed a couple more tracks to a different library this week too thanks to one little forward from Taxi a couple of years ago. They now have five of my tunes. It feels pretty exciting for me right now as all the ground work I've done over the last few year seems to be beginning to yield fruit. It really is a long game though isn't it? You've got to get as much music out there as you can (and keep putting more out) and then at some point, months or years down the line, you hope it will start to pay off.
