Hey Nashville folks! I'll be in Nashville speaking for NSAI's Songposium. I am offering private consultations while I'm there at a discounted rate. With an even steeper discount for Songposium participants). So, if you're interested in a consultation - drop me a line.
But I'll also be in Nashville, footloose, fancy-free and without transportation! So, please show me the town!
Nashville is a special place. I won't be there this year, but have been before, and to many other great NSAI events. I'm not sure if it's your first time in Nashville or not ... Music Row is a given, you'll be there. Otherwise, my favorite place has always been the Bluebird ... amazing history and vibe for this little club in a little strip mall, best to have a reservation about a week ahead. I also like Douglas Corner, and of course all the clubs on Broadway. There are other great clubs scattered around town. I like to check local news listings to see who has the best line-up of performing songwriters ... there's nothing I'd rather see. The Sunset Grill is a bit more upscale restaurant for a special meal.
Thanks for all your suggestions, Jim! That's great! I've been to the Bluebird a few times, but haven't checked out the clubs on Broadway - maybe I'll do that this time! I will be somewhat limited by my lack of wheels - which is why I'm suggesting you Nashville folks come take me out
Thanks Ellwood! Actually - I walked a LOT and it was great. Nashville (city) adds a HUGE tax onto car rentals, which I discovered the first time I went there. Something like 30%.
