Thought I had this one. This one was a yes no basis and they left me a comment that they enjoyed my submission but the lyrics didn't fit.
Disappointed, but I understand. Do they ever ask for rewrites ?
I'm game for that.
The songs were " Hell Yah " " You don't know who you are " and " All Alone "

Hey PlayaGibson,
Just my two cents but I hope this helps. I know all too well it s#cks to get something back that you thought you had nailed.
I don't think they've ever asked for re-writes to my knowledge. However it's in your best interest to re-write things to whatever/wherever you're attempting to pitch them.
I think more positive lyrics specifically when pitching to an advertiser would help you in the future as things like the line "You kept me down" in All Alone isn't something an advertiser (as opposed to a rock band etc) would want. Your songs are quite good rock n' roll however and they definitely do strut.
Hope that helps. - Roger Gilpin

Thanks for the input.
I watched the video posts on taxi tv and I had a bit of an epiphany regarding just what you said. The tunes that were forwarded had more positive/generic lyrics that would better suit film/tv, not to mention they are great songs.
Lyrics that are too introspective and negative really narrow the opportunities for a forward.
Live and learn.
