Mozart Video Game Listing Return

Post by Jtritone » Wed Sep 21, 2011 2:06 pm

Hi All,

Two year Taxi member, new to the forum...

Would love to hear some feedback on my cue, "Wolf Concerto Miniature in F" - returned on the basis of broadcast quality. Kind of stumped, I thought this one was a forward for sure... Thanks to all who take the time to listen!

Jason
p.s. and I'm new, so hoping that I can successfully get the taxi link posted correctly!

Hey Jason,

A pity you've had no takers. I wish I could help but I know zip about real classical music. :|

Jason,
It is a very nice composition:) The only guess I have is that the instrumentation sounds kind of "midi" for a classical composition listing. It seems like "Broadcast quality" is marked often on Yes/No Listings. I could be completely wrong, but that's just my take.

Best,
Jenna

Hi Jason,

I think your piece is really nice. The arrangement/composition is very much Mozartian. I think you were probably returned because the instrumentation/performance is too heavy for a classical piece. The strings are too lush and heavy and the winds are very strong and loud which doesn't reflect the the refined nature of a classical piece of music.

The piano is excellent. I would just pare down the strings and pull back the winds and you have an excellent piece of music.

Cheers
El
