Thanks Sedge... now do you think it's room mic reverb tail OR added in reverb plug in is too much???

hey Lee,

I think its the amount of kick sent to the room mic(s) in EZD like the other post on your tune, and maybe the width of the room mic too.

Might just be me, but it sounds a little dark in general on the low end - you filter out low end on the guitars and organ and such? Might make the bass and kick a little clearer.

Cool tune, I was grooving to it!

I was checking out the EZD Americana volume that just released, and I got the MIDI grooves from it (cause I can use EZPlayer with BFD). Nice addition.

Hi Andy and thanks! I love to put Dobro in my tunes! I use lots of different open tunings and standard tuning too/capo etc. I pretty much don't do much if any filtering or even much EQ on the EZD kits, although I probably should put more time into the EZD mixer etc... yeah that Americana kit is great I have ordered it but it's not here yet!

I meant EQ on the other instruments to clear up space for the low end kick and bass but I get what you mean. The presets are pretty much setup ready to go right!

Oh I see, yes, I use the presets as they are with the kit but they are very easily changed within the EZD mixer itself, I should do some work with that EZD mixer more. I don't do a lot of EQ on the guitars, they are pretty much how they sound coming out of the amps that are close mic'ed, I add reverb because I don't run any reverb on the guitar amps themselves. I do EQ bass though but again it's a bass preset within the Cubase 5, oh and I do add some little bit of compression to the bass also.

cool. I would check out high pass filtering everything except the bass and drums to start. Guitars don't usually have much except rumble below 80 or 90 hZ. See it it makes the bass and kick a little more clear.

Hi,
Great track, and fabulous vibe. You really capture the essence of something. The only thing I'd like to hear is the vocals move up a gear for the chorus. I feel they need to have a different energy and emotion to the verse. Some longing would be good!

Disclaimer: This advice comes from someone who can't sing a note and is on their third glass of wine!

I wish you all the best wit it.
Gary
