Hey Alan, welcome aboard. You can certainly submit music to Taxi that you have up on Myspace, facebook etc. In fact many people here have facebook, myspace sites as well as stand alone web sites where they have examples of their music posted. I'm going to go and check out your reverbnation site in a bit....BTW there is also a peer to peer section on this forum where you can post music for review by Taxi forum members. Derek

Hi Taxi ,I'm a newbie who has been lurking around the edges, to see what this group is all about this thread has been enlightening . After reading all 13 pages I'm starting to get the drift, and I'll try to follow the decorum and rules laid down, forgive me if I screw up. My wife has been trying to get me to follow the rules for 28 years, it seems sadly I'm not talented in this endeavor, though i do try. I have a great compensating mechanism known as the .....Yes Dear " so if I screw up you will get the required Yes Dear. Let's see...oh yeah rule 1 introduction My name is Greg Richard and my handle is hiredgun I am 52 though I feel 25. I've been happily married for 14 years (not bad considering I have been married for 28) . I have a couple of kid's and (gasp !) a grand daughter. I love kayaking, fishing and all outdoor activities, but mostly I love music. I have a slightly warped and twisted sense of humor ( from what I've read I should do just fine here) Yes dear.I have been told I have some writing talent (Thanks Mom!). I've been in band of one type or another for #% years , my first songs were written on stone tablets. I am anxious to share some of the stuff I've been working on lately with you all. Over the decades I have written jazz, rock, country, blues, celtic, bluegrass . My latest project is called Hired Gun Project...I'm nothing if not creative The CD is called "The Last Shot" it is very diverse, and the group of musicians on this project are nothing short of phenomenal, of that I am quite confident. Most of the the songs would fall into the country rock or country blues genres but some of the stuff we did.... is really out there . I am my own worst critic and I think there are a few real winners on this CD. I guess we'll find out soon enough. One question.... how do you post a song on peer to peer ?I just got an iMac and am learning the ropes on it too.Is a Yes Dear required?

Hi everyone, just thought i would take a few minutes to introduce myself, I just joined a few days ago. My name is Domingo, age 49 from Brisbane Australia. I am into country , Latin, instrumentals and enjoy music that has mood and emotion. Its been 25 years since i played music but thanks to my wonderful partner i have taken the challenge to create music again. Mind you its been a tough road so far, learning how to play keyboard and using recording equipment. Hope to make some friend in here and also love hearing good stories like bigbluebarry success's, awesome stuff.I am also fluent in Spanish so if i can help anyone out, drop me aline. Cheers and wish me luck.....Warm regardsDomingo and Shereen (Sheringo)

Hey everyone, I’ve been a member for a day so far and just from reading through the forums I can see I made a good decision to join the Taxi family! You guys are Awesome! My name is Ben Marc (yes two first names…lol) but I like to go by ‘Crush’ in the music world. I’m 25 yrs old and I’m a producer/songwriter/vocal arranger. I’m from Miami, FL but just recently moved to Atlanta, GA to further pursue my music career. Hmm...what else? Oh, so far I most write/produce R&B, Pop, and Country. Can’t think of anything else so I’m looking forward to meeting everyone on the boards and at the Rally! Well, time for me to start submitting…good luck to all and thanks for having me in your home!

Risking double posting (I introduced myself on the Road Rally thread)<Look folks: I've learned the term "thread"!Real name: Bettesongwriter in multiple genres: blues, cabaret (some say musical theatre), children's, novelty, ballads, swingcountry wannabeI write lyrics and melody but my only arrangements are with chords found on autoharpI rely on talented musicians for most of my arrangementsUntil I figure out how to let you see/hear my songs, you can hear some of them on BetteAnderson.com, and you can see a couple of pictures also -- although I've aged a lot in the past few weeksI am probably the oldest member of this forum. That may be the reason I am so technically challenged. It will be a while before I understand how to post my picture and songs. Thanks Vikki, for trying to get us newbies started.I enjoy reading everyone's posts and wish I had more time to participate in discussions.Bette
