Re: New subsection
There are plenty of folks who would worry that having their piece posted for all to see just makes it easier to scoop their idea. I'm not one of them, but it wouldn't be right to post something against their will strictly for the purpose of other members' curiosity or education.

Re: New subsection
There are so many reasons why TAXI cannot post songs without the writers approval, both legal and ethical.

Re: New subsection
I had a thought about this -- I mean, I totally understand why a songwriter/composer would like to hear all the tracks forwarded, but I also totally understand (and agree) that this isn't possible. However, if you want to hear music composed by people who are forwarded, you can. 1-Start with the Forward section here, where people post both the listing and what was forwarded. 2-There is a newsletter that comes out once a month that's called "TAXI member Placements, Deals, and Current opportunities". Look at who's got deals, and what style their music is. If it fits what you are submitting, google them. Listen to what they have on-line.3-Listen to what's on television. If you watch Harpo, Dr Oz, Ugly Betty, America's Next Top model and many other shows you hear music -- that music is often supplied by music libraries who list opps with TAXI. In fact, look at the listings. They'll sometimes list what network(s) the library/publisher is connected with. Chuck Schlacter gave an excellent presentation at the Rally on how he researches listings. In other words, I think it's very valuable to hear what's been forwarded... however, I don't think that's the be-all and end-all of the research required to understand what's working for the industry. Just some Tuesday night thoughts from me. Keep or sweep.
