First post here, so I thought it might be a good idea to introduce myself:-)
I am a professional designer (graphic/web/humorous illustration) who has the music bug. Lately I bought some equipment and started experimenting and trying to record some songs. There is a ton of things to learn - from song crafting to recording and mixing/mastering... then to the business side, which is a whole other monster.
Mildly put, it can be overwhelming
But so far I am having fun, and that's what is probably most important...
I am not a member of Taxi, as at this stage it is probably useless. From what I've read on the forum, and from the samples I've listened to, I am far from being at a level to pass through the screeners.
But I'd love to improve myself, and get some honest critique and feedback, as well as get to know you guys. I do not have the ambition to be a singer/performer, but eventually I'd love to get some of my songs recorded by other artists.
