I don't know what to do on this one. I've got three numbers on my TAXI page I'm thinking of fine tuning for it "Bliss", "Here and Now" and "Dynamics and Decay". What is the deal here? Zimmer and Newman are easy....Full orchestrations, etc. My songs are not like theirs, but can definately be considered underscore material. Adding Sarah Blasko as an "a la" makes no sense on this, except to say the field is wide open for anything. I can't find anything she does that is instrumental at all. Any thoughts on the listing or my material for this would be appreciated.

Hi Pat
I was equally puzzled on the Sarah Blasko aspect of this listing as well. It makes no sense to me as she's not at all like the other 2.
As far as your 3 pieces that you mentioned goes, I could possibly see them in some sort of underscore capacity but I honestly don't think that they fit this listing. Your pieces are not like any of the artists referenced here, IMO. Even though these 3 artists don't make sense being grouped together I believe that there is a particular sound that Taxi will be looking for here. I don't think they are simply looking for any instrumental piece. If I were the screener I would have to return these pieces based on them not being on target for the listing.

I almost forgot. Feel free to give a listen to the 2 pieces that I'm thinking about submitting for this one. They are called "Stolen Identity" and "Several Inches till Daylight". The first one is easier to categorize and the second one kinda a has a few different feelings.
Thanks,
Robbie

Thanks for the feedback Robbie. I listened to your music, really good stuff. I do see what you mean about a common sound. If someone told me Stolen Identity was by Newman or Zimmer, i'd have believed them. I've refined and remixed Dynamics and Decay and am gonna submit that and two other pieces I'll be uploading tonight that are different. Your samples really sound huge, and the way you work them is awesome, very humbling. I'm dealing mainly with Reason, the Sonar soft synths and my k2500 and am really feeling outgunned when I listen to other stuff on the forum.

Thank you.
As far as sample libraries go. I use Quantum Leap/East West Symphonic Orchestra for all my orchestral stuff. There is even some newer more expensive stuff out now (hollywood brass & hollywood string for example). I purchased what Quantum Leap calls the Complete composer collection. Its around $999 and has an enourmous amount of stuff. Unfortunately if you want to try and do orchestral stuff you not only have to have the sound libraries which sound real but you need to spend quite a bit of time learning how to tweak them so they sound more realistic. I've learned a lot but I of course see where I fall short and keep trying to improve as well. Its a never ending process
Thanks again for the kind words
